If I asked you what you were doing what you were doing on the morning of September 11, 2001, I doubt there would be any adult here today who wouldn't be able to sit back and tell everyone what they were doing that day. You could probably talk about what happened with vivid detail. You could probably relay how you felt when the planes struck the twin towers. Suddenly, after 9/11 signs began popping up all over the nation that read, "God bless America" or "Pray for America." We as a country sought to find a reason for the attacks.
The sad truth is that in many ways we as a nation seem to have quickly forgotten the unified call for God to bless America. We have forgotten the lessons that we learned as a nation that day. The memories have faded. We, however, choose not to forget the lessons of 9/11. We raise our "Ebenezer" in memorial to remember the events on 9/11.
