The night before His crucifixion, Jesus prays arguably the greatest prayer in the Bible.
And at the beginning of this prayer in verse 2, Christ makes a promise that He would “give eternal life.”
Now when we talk about life, we all realize there’s a big difference between really living and merely existing. Right? Medical technology today can allow you to live in a coma, long after your brain has quit working. Machines can keep your lungs and heart pumping. But if you’re in a vegetative state, are you really living? Most of us would say, “That’s not really living. That’s a living death.”
