I've seen just about every scenario you could possibly think of. During those trials and challenges in helping people, I've been hugged and been hit. I've prayed with folks and I've been cursed at. I've cried with families and sung songs of praise during difficult trials. Hymns of comfort and confidence in God. People often ask, "How are they doing?" I often want to reply back, "How are they supposed to be doing?" The grief of a loss of an infant. The sudden death of a family member. The loss of a job. Usually, I hold back and respond, "They're doing the best that they can by the grace of God in the midst of this challenge." How is it that we should respond in trial, hurt and adversity? In the Bible, we find one who faced a seemingly impossible trial – Job.
