Redeemed, how I love to proclaim it!
Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed through His infinite mercy,
His child and forever I am.
This evening I’d like for us to focus our attention on the topic of Redemption. God’s work of redemption on our behalf is arguably His greatest work throughout history. Thomas Watson, the Puritan writer, said this: "Great was the work of creation, but greater the work of redemption. ...Creation was the work of God’s fingers (Psalm 8), but redemption is the work of His arm" (Luke 1). John MacArthur commented, "It cost more to redeem us than to make us. In the one there was but the speaking of a word; in the other, there was the shedding of blood.”
