Haman’s Edict of Death was delivered to the Jews in chapter three that caused great mourning and sorrow.

This looked like the end for God’s people—the annihilation of the bloodline that would bring the Messiah. If this Edict of Death had been executed in its full force, then presumably we wouldn’t be celebrating Christmas. There would have been no King of the Jews, no Jews, no bloodline for Jesus.

But don’t forget the unspoken hero in this story—the invisible hand behind the scenes.
