This morning in church one of my two girls made a really cool pinwheel. Well, on the way home both of my girls wanted the really cool pinwheel. So that set off WWIII. Like Hatfields and McCoys, they attacked and retaliated through the early afternoon.
I won't ask you to raise your hands, but how many of you have sibling rivalries that develop-even as you're coming home from church? You've just worshipped in the Lord's house. You've just heard from His Word. And boom, the Battle Royale.
Now unfortunately this problem doesn't just apply to the younger members of our audience tonight. As adults we experience sibling rivalry in church, in the family of God.
We fight and we get offended and get our feelings hurt and retaliate. And often, in light of eternity, we're fighting over something as insignificant as a pinwheel.
But tonight we're going to see that the proper response to brothers and sisters in the family of God is not sibling rivalry. It's sincere love.
