If I went around the room tonight, probably every adult could share a story about a bad job, bad boss, bad work experience
We could all talk about bad work experiences. The problem is: we don’t often talk about work at church. But we should. Because that’s where you live.
It’s not only central in terms of our time but also in terms of how we view ourselves. When you meet someone for the first time, what’s one of the first things you ask them? “So what do you do?”
When you read through the obituaries, what’s one of the first statements about a person’s life—where they worked, what they did, what were their achievements at work.
We’re going to start a new series entitled Your Work Matters. We want to see what God’s Word says about our work.
This evening we’re going to see that work is not a necessary evil. Work is intrinsically good. It was created by God to be good.
