Frequently Asked Questions

What time would we leave on the day of camp and return after camp? Typically the Monday of camp campers would load up and leave around 9am. Then campers would typically arrive back to church that Friday around 7-8pm.

Do I register as a individual or group? When you register, register as a group and make sure you select Grace Baptist Church in Anderson, Indiana.

What can I bring on the bus for the trip? Due to the mess that snacks and drinks can be limit any drinks or snacks to only water bottles to twist tops. We stop around every 2 hours which gives time to get a quick snack before loading back up.

Are cell phones or other tech allowed? They will be allowed to be used on the bus but once they arrive at camp they will be turned into the youth leaders to keep safe for the duration of the week. If the teen provides a charging cable/brick the leaders will do their best to charge their phones during the week so they are ready for the return trip.

What money do my campers need to bring? We usually stop once going up and once returning for food at a fast food restaurant (around $20). As well, during camp there are opportunities for snack shops and gift shops. This amount for camp spending is totally up to parents.

What do I do since the camp is cashless? When parents register their child they will be given the opportunity to add money to their camp account. This amount will then be able to be used without having to bring cash. This is also available to reload through the course of the week. For example, if you only want your child to have a certain amount of money each day you could load that amount each day to help your child not spend it all at the beginning of the week.

How much luggage can I bring? Teens are allowed to bring one bag per person in addition to a sleeping back and pillow. A small backpack that can be at their feet on the bus is allowed.
